Sandhill Crane Japanese Chiyogami Paper and Resin Earrings
The earrings seen in photographs are sold, however, the pair created for you will be similar in color and style. Comes ready to gift.
These earrings are made from scraps of a beautiful hand silk screened Japanese Chiyogami paper.
I buy large sheets of this paper from Japan, to collage on the frames of my original paintings. I love being able to use the left over pieces, for my jewelry.
The jewelry bezels are bronze and the 20 gauge earring wire, is niobium for sensitive ears and is nickel free.
After the paper is cut to size of bezels, it is glued and then protected by a hand poured jewelry resin. The resin brings out the incredible gold silk screened details of the paper, and has a glossy look.
